We at iTutor College strongly believe in the core values of discipline and respectful behaviour.
Enrolment at iTutor College implies, on the part of the pupil and parent, willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school.
The management has the right to suspend or require the withdrawal of any pupil without having to assign any reason provided that the management is satisfied that such a step is necessary in the best interest of the school.
In all matters pertaining to admission, studies, disciplins, behaviour, attendance and welfare of the student, the management’s decision is final and binding on all students, parents and guardians.
Discipline
Punctuality is essential at all times.
Children must report to their respective classrooms promptly. Their manner of movement should be quiet and orderly, always keeping to the left and in single line. They should make way for staff members and younger students.
Children must bring their books neatly packed according to the time-table in a school bag. The school diary must be brought to school daily. No other books or literature should be brought to school.
Children must behave in an orderly manner in the classroom. They are not allowed to enter any other classroom, staffroom or special rooms without the permission of a staff member.
They must take care of school property. The cost of any damage to school property will be borne by the parents.
Children must be polite and considerate to all in the school. Use of foul language will not be tolerated. Any child who is persistently insubordinate, guilty of malpractice, or harms other children may be expelled permanently from the school if the head of the school is of the opinion that the concerned child has an unwholesome influence on his/her fellow school members. The rule of good behaviour must be maintained by all children inside and outside the school.
It is compulsory for children to participate in all activities organised by the school. Exemption may be granted only on medical grounds.
Children are forbidden to bring into the School valuable articles such as jewellery, costly pens, mobile phones, MP3 players, iPods, walkmans, USB drives. If children bring such articles to school, they will be confiscated.
Attendance
No child should remain absent without prior permission. In case of an emergency, the parent should inform the School the reason for absence.
In case of illness the child should not be sent to school. Absenteeism involving more than one day absent, requires that a doctor’s note be sent to the school secretary for record purposes.
Attendance till the last day of a term is compulsory. Requests for permission to leave before that date or extend the holiday after the commencement of a new term will be entertained only in cases of an emergency.
Absenteeism before assessments will not be tolerated. The absentees may be debarred from the Assessments or penalized in any other manner.

Recommendations to parents
Parents and guardians are reminded that without their help and co-operation not much improvement can be expected from the efforts made to mould the child’s character at school. A complete compliance with school rules is necessary from both the child as well as parents/guardians/care givers.
All correspondence should be routed through the school office addressed to the principal. When writing to the school regarding their children, parents should mention clearly the name, the standard and division in which the child is studying.
The parent’s signature in the diary would indicate that the remarks entered by school authorities have been noted.
Parents are specially requested to notify the school of any change in their address or telephone number.
Parents are requested to refrain from giving large amounts of cash as pocket money to the child, as the staff wish to inculcate the habit of thrift among the students.
Parents are requested to note that distribution of expensive sweets and gifts on any occasion is not allowed.
Parents are requested to refrain from inviting the teachers to parties or offering lifts and gifts to members of the staff.
Parents desirous of meeting the teachers regarding the progress of their children may do so only by prior appointment through the school office.
If you need to communicate anything with the class teacher of your child, please note it in your child’s school diary.
Don’t allow your kid to watch TV serials and even animated violence. TV viewing should be limited and age appropriate.
Birthdays at school
Your child may dress in “Civvies” on their birthday.

School lunchboxes
Make nutritious food a habit. Lunch boxes must be healthy, creative, innovative and colourful.
Encourage good eating habits by encouraging your child through colour (using a variety of fruits/vegetables).
Encourage LOVE and elements of surprise by inserting a little “surprise note” for your child…like “mommy loves you”. The aim to create love, warmth, confidence and encourage positivity through emotion…must be achieved as a whole. Children who feel “loved” become sound, confident adults.
Every child should carry a fresh fruit of his/her choice along with regular lunch.
Portion sizes must be realistic. Aim is to discourage waste
